Thing For Sale!
Posted: April 15th, 2010 | Author: ab |I just saw cute Morgan’s oven, TV, paint dilemma on her site, and remembered: hey, we need a new stove too. So I thought, well maybe I can sell this (awesome, antique, perfectly-working) thing with my Internet powers. I only use my powers for good, people!
Perhaps you would like a picture.

The stove is a Chambers Model 90C, and from what I can tell, it dates from 1950 - 1955. It belonged to the previous owner’s grandmother. All burners, the well and the oven work. The lever that controls the broiler does not work, but could be easily repaired. (Manuals are available for download).
I would like it if prospective buyers lived within driving distance. That is because the stove weighs approximately 36 million pounds. Make an offer in the comments or email me at abchao at hashai dot com.
The end!

WOW
no space here in Madison MS
but
WOW
Will you be willing to wait ’till I build a house around that stove?
Guess not.
I might be willing to cook if I had that.
Broiler be damned.

Anna Beth, that stove is awesome, if it works well, don’t get rid of it. I love it. I can’t use it, but it is great.
It works great, Charlen, but my husband the professional cook wants a BIG OVEN. And more burners. And a broiler, etc.
PS, the stove also has a built-in griddle. Pancakes!
Damn that would work in my place. Too bad we can’t solve each others issues.
We gotta get rid of our beast as well…I’m dreading moving that mountain of enamel doom out of the house.
Would you like to drive it down to my house this weekend? Mkay thanks.
damn me, why do I have to live so far from all awesome things? it’s a piece of art, this stove, and would fit so nicely in my kitchen.
Does Nebraska count as within driving distance? You can, technically, drive here from there. (Damn. Didn’t think so.) It’s a beautiful stove. I hope it finds a good home.
Tell Tyler Florence to chill out. That stove is like Maximum Stoves.
YOU’RE Maximum Stoves.
Yan Can Cook in this stove just fine! It can’t be sold! Of course, every time you plan a house change and I freak out about it, I am proven wrong.
Hmmmmmmm………………….. I might want it or know someone who does. My uncle just bought one and all 1,356,026 people in my family keep going on and on about how much they want one, too. Also, I live mere blocks from you…..
email me!
Wait, MA is within driving distance, right? RIGHT?!
Sigh.
Keep me posted on this. I might be down for an insane splurge because I am just insane like that. I might be about to buy a one hundred dollar pink phone for no good reason. What?
