Hi hi hi!

Hello there, Apartment Therapists. Welcome to hashai. I never update, and when I do it’s usually a disappointment. I’m glad to see you here, anyway!

(Just kidding about the disappointment.)

My next project is our guest bedroom-cum-tv room. It’s about 85% finished, and I’m currently working on the shades for the 6 windows the room contains. If anyone knows where to find some fabulous velvet ribbon in this specific color of green I cannot describe, then I wish you would tell me.

    I think I may have found some on mjtrim.com. They have tons of colors. I wish I could get samples!

    If you found mjtrim you probably just did the same google search I did, but check threadart.com too, they have something called spring green that looks similar to the green in that plant, if that’s what you’re going for.

    I happen to work v. close to MJ Trim. It’s mezmerizing. Give me some details (width, etc.) and where to send them and I’ll try and pick up some samples. ps - I love that green. It was the color of my living room for many years.

    This new post reminds me, I forgot to ask re: your daughter’s room redo - did you make the shades in her room? If so, are they a balloon shade where the black ribbon hides the pull cord, or is it a more complicated set-up? Or does the black ribbon itself act as the draw?

    I have been making pieced and pleated roman shades for our house, and am looking for something with less construction fuss for our office/loft area and yours look like they might fit the bill.

    I am sorry that I have no recommendations for finding green ribbon - every time I try to match colors in fabric via an online seller it always ends in tears and recriminations.
